FLTA Meeting of the Membership (Bylaws Amendment)

FLTA Members,

During their September Board Meeting, the FLTA Board of Directors approved the Bylaws Committee's recommendation to put before the membership an amendment increasing the potential maximum size of the Board to 19 directors (from the current 15) through the 2030 convention. As per the bylaws amendment section below, this email (originally delivered on September 18, 2026) will serve as notice of the proposed amendment (log-in required).

Meeting of the Members

Following the 30-day requirement, a special meeting of the FLTA Membership will be called for Monday, October 19, 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Meeting connection information will be available in the confirmation email after registering.

ARTICLE VIII – Amendment and Revision 

Section 1: Amendments

At any annual convention or mid-year meeting or at any special meeting called for the specific purpose, these Bylaws may be amended or revised after circulation to the membership of the proposal at least thirty (30) days prior to said meeting, by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the qualified members present at such meeting.
